Culver's Prepares to Open Its San Antonio Restaurant on State Road 52 |
The ButterBurger chain moves farther north along SR 52, closer to Epperson, Mirada and WaterGrass |

Culver's is preparing to open a new restaurant along State Road 52 in San Antonio, at 30171 State Road 52, next to the new Taco Bell. The building is finished and the location is listed as coming soon, bringing another familiar dining option to the growing communities north of Wesley Chapel. The restaurant continues a steady northward push for the chain in this part of Pasco County. Culver's first opened its Lutz location near Costco, then added a Wesley Chapel restaurant near the Shops at Wiregrass. The San Antonio store follows that same progression up SR 52, extending the chain's reach into an area that has been adding rooftops and businesses for several years. For a lot of families, the practical difference is a shorter drive. Residents of Epperson, Mirada, WaterGrass, Pasadena Hills and the other neighborhoods clustered around SR 52 have had to head south to reach the nearest Culver's. The new store puts the menu the chain is known for, ButterBurgers, fresh frozen custard and Wisconsin cheese curds, within a few minutes of home instead. The opening also adds to a stretch of road that keeps filling in. Restaurants, retailers and service businesses have been establishing themselves along SR 52 as the corridor develops, and the Culver's site sits directly beside another recent arrival in the new Taco Bell. Together they give drivers on that stretch a cluster of options where there were few not long ago. Culver's has not announced a firm opening date for the San Antonio restaurant. Neighbors watching the corner can expect the doors to open soon, and the location is listed on the company's restaurant finder as coming soon at 30171 State Road 52. |
